InkBand's rebrand made the cut on World Brand Design Society. InkBand, a tattoo care brand founded in 2016 through the collaboration of an anesthesiologist and a renowned tattoo artist, had outgrown its original branding and needed an identity that could resonate with a broader, more diverse community of tattoo enthusiasts while keeping the credibility and boldness the brand had already earned.
InkBand's identity system: the wordmark, the monogram and the snake carried onto skin
The new identity draws on the idea of skin renewal, symbolized by a snake shedding its skin, carried through a bold wordmark, a custom monogram built from the brand's own initials and dated to its 2016 founding, and a spiral packaging motif echoing the snake's coiled form. A photography system moves between vibrant color and soft grayscale to hold the brand's bold, versatile personality across every touchpoint, from a spray bottle to a tattooed arm.
Being named among the world's standout identities is proof the rebrand did what it set out to do: InkBand reads less like a product line now and more like a symbol of strength and self-expression, a brand built to grow alongside the community of tattoo enthusiasts it was made for.
