MESTRE PARRILLERO
BRAND POSITIONING + BRAND DESIGN + LOGO DESIGN + BRAND GUIDELINES
For Mestre Parrillero, our challenge was to capture the spirit of Buenos Aires’ parrilla culture while introducing a modern, upscale identity that resonates with Brazilian diners. Parrilla, the classic Latin American method of slow-grilling meats over embers, is a ritual of gathering and conviviality; “parrillero” refers to the master griller who orchestrates this experience. We drew from the port-city soul of Buenos Aires (“porteño”) to inspire a visual language that celebrates tradition, hospitality and craftsmanship.

The design system centers on a sophisticated wordmark paired with bespoke illustration. The logotype balances refined typography with the warmth of hand-drawn details – evoking the iron grill and the flames beneath. A palette of deep charcoal and rich terracotta reflects glowing embers and the patina of aged metal, while creamy neutrals soften the look and add a touch of elegance. The logo’s emblem, a stylized grill grid and flame, anchors a series of applications from menus and coasters to uniforms and signage. We also crafted textured patterns referencing tile motifs and leather finishes to evoke Argentina’s cultural heritage and the rustic elegance of an asado gathering.

Collateral materials follow the same thoughtful approach. Stationery features subtle embossing and foil accents, menus use tactile paper stock with clear hierarchy for bilingual information, and promotional flyers blend photography of sizzling cuts with the brand’s custom illustrations. We also developed exterior signage and interior mural work to create an immersive “porteño barbecue” atmosphere. Altogether, the identity positions Mestre Parrillero as more than a restaurant – it is a destination where diners encounter the authentic ritual of assado, complemented by modern hospitality and design sophistication.
